1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VoyageLink (voyagelink.io), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

VoyageLink provides satellite device management, automated AI-composed messaging, weather intelligence aggregation, and expedition tracking for ocean expeditions. The service connects to satellite devices including Garmin inReach, SPOT, ZOLEO, and ACR Bivy Stick via their native APIs.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must be 18 years of age or older to use the service
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use VoyageLink for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
• Use the service as the sole means of communication in life-safety situations without proper backup systems — VoyageLink is a communications aid, not a substitute for proper safety equipment

6. Subscription and Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' prior notice
• Free trial is 7 days with no credit card required — a credit card is required to continue after the trial period
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe

7. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Satellite connectivity depends on third-party networks (Iridium, Globalstar, and others) that are outside our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by satellite network outages, device malfunctions, or force majeure events.

8. Intellectual Property

VoyageLink, its name, logo, and all associated content, software, and documentation are owned by VoyageLink Ltd. You retain full ownership of your expedition data, messages, and any content you create through the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoyageLink Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
